shoes???
SHOES are the first step in walking out of poverty. SHOES decrease the social, economic, and cultural barriers that children face. A new pair of shoes is rewarding for anyone especially a child. For a child a new pair of shoes provides dignity, hope, pride and self-esteem. Because of the success of FreshSouls shoe distribution program, children are experiencing a change in behavior and comfort.
Below are comments heard by staff members of FreshSouls when new shoes are distributed:
“I use this medium to express our most sincere thanks for your generous gift of shoes. You have filled a great need as many parents have difficulty providing shoes for their children.”
(Joan Welsh- Principal, St. Thomas Jamaica)
“These athletic shoes are greatly appreciated. We are able to provide some of these kids with shoes to play on their first game this season. Thank you very much!”
(Marques Hayes- Head Coach, Akron East High School)
